All Officers are Required to:

  • Participate in decisions

  • Contact and arrange at least two events each month

  • Go to each of their own events

  • Attend Key Club meetings and officer meetings

  • Get community service forms signed by guidance and the advisor for their event and make copies to hand out to the members who volunteered at their event.

  • Send out Reminds when needed

President

  • Keep contact with Key Club advisors.

  • Arrange officer meetings.

  • Run bi-weekly club meetings. 

  • Help keep other officers on track.

  • Go to monthly district Key Club meetings.

  • Keep contact with Lieutenant governor and sponsors.

  • Manage remind and answer the questions of parents/students.

  • Update event calendar as needed.

Secretary

  • Keep track of club documents including member hours, information forms, and lists

  • Set up meeting notes and record notes at meetings  

  • Submit a monthly pride report to Key Club International 

  • Fill out the Officer Information Form (OIF) and process member applications (beginning of the school year) 

Vice President

  • Assist the President and Board with any task. 

  • Take over the President role in meetings if he/she is unavailable.

  • Create and oversee Committees. 

  • Attend monthly district Key Club meetings. 

  • Help manage the remind. 

Treasurer

  • Collects, organize, and pay dues. 

  • Plan fundraisers. 

  • Deals with all the cash flow of the club. 

  • Keep track of how many (PAID) members are in the club. 

  • Collect money for t-shirts and other incomes from the club. 

  • Keep a record of dues. 

Public Relations/ Webmaster

  • Manage and update the email and Instagram page.

  • Contact the TV News and Mustangs Ahead

  • Contact local companies and businesses for sponsorships.

  • Update the Instagram 1-2 times per week (pertaining to new events, info, etc.)

  • Responding to comments/messages on emails and Instagram. 

Class Director(s) 

  • Represent and lead all classes.

  • Support decisions of the board and represent your classes at officer meetings.

  • Keep members informed about scholarships to encourage them to have opportunities. 

  • Run committees that help brainstorm ideas for various projects and the end of the year awards banquet.
